Sean French, Wells Fargo

Sean French leads the Small Business and Wells Fargo At Work strategies for the Southwest Region covering the states of Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas, Arizona, Utah and Nevada.  French joined Wells Fargo in 1992 and has held various leadership roles including the Northern Nevada Area President role for 13 years prior to his current role.  He has lived in Nevada for 18 years, serving on the boards of various non-profit organizations.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration form California State University and is a Pacific Coast Banking School graduate.

James York, Valley Bank of Nevada

YorkJames R. York is currently serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Valley Bank of Nevada, York is the founding principal of the bank. He possesses an extensive background in the banking industry and has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer for Southwest USA Bank, Senior Vice President and Senior Loan Officer/Manager for Silver State Bank. York has also managed commercial and corporate loan portfolios for a variety of other institutions including Bank of America and First Security Bank. York is a native Nevadan and is a graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas and the Pacific Coast Banking School.

Spencer Hafen, Nevada Bank and Trust

HafenSpencer Hafen, a native Nevadan, was appointed the President and CEO of Nevada Bank and Trust in early 2015. Hafen has been with Nevada Bank and Trust since 2010. Prior to 2010 Hafen owned and operated his own consulting firm. A community leader, Hafen has served as a Lincoln County Commissioner, a trustee of Grover C. Dills Medical Center, and board member of various community organizations.

David Fersdahl, USAA

FersdahlDavid Fersdahl is President of USAA Savings Bank (USB), one of the nation’s 10 largest credit card issuers. Fersdahl leads USB from the bank’s headquarters in Las Vegas, NV. He was appointed President in 2013 after serving as a credit risk executive at USAA Federal Savings Bank. Fersdahl is active in the community with the United Way of Southern Nevada and also serves on the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Southern Nevada. He also serves as the bank’s Community Reinvestment Act Officer.

Fersdahl received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Government & International Affairs from Augustana College. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Dakota and is a member of the State Bar of South Dakota.

Darrel Small, Town & Country Bank

Darrel A. Small is currently employed as President/CEO of Town & Country Bank in Las Vegas, having filling that position in February 2013. Has been in Banking for 32 years and have served in a President and CEO capacity for the last 23. Small was born and raised in Wyoming and he is a graduate of Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, AZ, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Currently Small serves on the Independent Community Bankers Association’s Federal Delegate Board representing Nevada community banks. In addition, he serves on the ICBA’s Credit Committee. He has served on numerous Bank Boards and Bank Holding Company Boards throughout his banking career. Small is married, he and his wife Therese, have 3 Sons (all married), and 5 Grandchildren.

Rachelle Crupi, Bank of Nevada

Crupi

Rachelle Crupi started her banking career in 1984 and joined Bank of Nevada as executive vice president and regional president

in 2003 with a background mainly focused in commercial lending industry. Crupi has been a board member of the Risk Management Association and American Disabilities Association. She has traveled extensively with her husband, including to Southern Africa to view endangered wildlife and assist with cons

ervation efforts. Born in Las Vegas, Crupi is a graduate of University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Pacific Coast Banking School.

Crupi is heavily involved in volunteer work, currently serving on the advisory board, previously was board president for 8 years of Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Crupi is also a board member of Nevada State Development, a member of the United Way’s Women Leadership Council and Tocqueville Society and an advisory board member of the Las Vegas Philharmonic and the Las Vegas Youth Orchestra.

Ryan Woodward, JPMorgan Chase

Ryan Woodward, has been Area Manager of JPMorgan Chase covering Southern Nevada and Southern Utah since 2007. Woodward's previous bank experience includes roles as Vice President Senior Relationship Manager of JPMorgan Chase, Vice President of Zions First National Bank and Commercial Bank Analyst of Washington Mutual. Woodward graduated from University of Utah with a degree in Finance and earned his Masters in Business Administration from Brigham Young University. Woodward is active in a number of community organizations including holding Board positions for The Goodie Two Shoes Foundation and the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.

Ryan Sullivan, Bank of George

T. Ryan Sullivan, President/CEO of Bank of George, has 18 years of commercial banking experience. Mr. Sullivan was the Bank’s original Chief Financial Officer and served in that capacity since inception in September 2007 through June 2013. Sullivan has also served as a Bank director since January 2011. Previously, Sullivan served as the Chief Financial Officer of Alliance Bank of Arizona, which was a $700 million statewide commercial bank at his time of departure. Sullivan joined Alliance Bank at its inception in 2003 as its original Chief Financial Officer after working with Bank of Nevada (formerly BankWest of Nevada) in lending, accounting/finance and operational capacities.

Sullivan attained Bachelors of Science degrees in Finance from UNLV and is also an Honors Graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at University of Washington. Sullivan was named as a Who’s Who in Banking by the Las Vegas Business Press in 2011 and was recognized as recipient of the Top 40 Under 40 award by In Business Las Vegas (VEGAS INC) in 2009. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Safe Nest, where he currently resides as Treasurer and previously served on the Advisory Board of the Department of Finance at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.

David Sirna, Umpqua Bank

sirnaDavid Sirna is the Area Manager of Retail Banking in Nevada for Umpqua Bank. This is David’s 22nd year in Banking.  Sirna started out as a teller in 1994 at First Interstate Bank.  He has worked through the mergers of First Interstate Bank and Wells Fargo, then Wells Fargo and Norwest, First Republic Bank and Merrill Lynch, and then Bank of America,   after that he wanted to settle down with a smaller community bank at Nevada State Bank as a Business Development Officer.  He missed being a coach, mentor and leader of a team and came to Umpqua Bank in 2011 where he has been ever since. David is active in the community with Junior Achievement, Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation and Umpqua Bank’s local foundation grant committee.  Sirna is married, he and his wife Joyce, have 1 son and 2 Goldendoodles.

Terry Shirey, Nevada State Bank

ShireyTerry A. Shirey serves as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Nevada State Bank as well as sitting on the Bank’s Board of Directors. Formerly chief financial officer for seven years, Shirey was named president and COO in September 2014.

A licensed certified public accountant (CPA), Shirey has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry, with the past 13 spent managing accounting and financial operations for major banks and bank holding companies. Prior to joining the banking industry, he was an audit manager for the CPA firm of McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, supervising audits of financial institutions, including multi-bank holding companies.

Shirey holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming. He serves on the board of the Nevada Bankers Association, as vice chair for the Nevada Capital Investment Corporation, as a board member of the College of Southern Nevada Foundation, and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants.
